Virginia Recovery Canines, Inc. is an all volunteer search and rescue organization that uses specially trained dogs in the detection of human remains. We work directly with law enforcement, fire and rescue agencies. VRK9 members have experience in and have responded to the following types of cases: Homicide, Suicide, Arson, Lost person searches, Cold cases, Evidence searches, Natural disasters, Acts of terrorism etc. We are a professional group of handlers and hold discretion and confidentiality in the highest regard. VRK9 is a member of Virginia Search and Rescue Council and currently holds a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management.
